JD Frazer
- JD Frazer, widely known by his pen name Illiad, is a Canadian cartoonist and writer best known as the creator of the webcomic User Friendly.
- User Friendly, which debuted in 1997, became a cultural touchstone for programmers, sysadmins, and tech support professionals during the dot-com era, centering on the daily lives of the staff at Columbia Internet, a fictional ISP.
Connection to Me and Geek Cruises
- In October 2003, Illiad was a featured speaker on the 19th Geek Cruises voyage, which was co-branded as "Illiad's Oddysea" and "Caribbean Click".
- During the cruise, he presented a seminar on "writing cartoons on the web" for tech-focused travelers, while I and other instructors held digital photography workshops as part of the coincident "Caribbean Click" seminar track.
