Bright Horizons 9 Cruise
Bright Horizons 9 Cruise
- The Bright Horizons 9 (Bright Horizons IX) cruise sailed from May 8 to May 15, 2011, traveling round-trip from New York to Bermuda aboard Holland America Line's m.s. Veendam.
- This was the 60th sailing organized by Insight Cruises in partnership with Scientific American.
The Bermuda Itinerary & "All Aboard, Friday"
- The cruise was notable for having the fewest stops of any itinerary: after sailing out of New York, the Veendam docked at Hamilton, Bermuda, and remained docked in port for several consecutive days, functioning as the largest floating hotel in the city for the week.
- Unlike typical cruise ports with tight, same-day "all aboard at 6:00 PM" departure constraints, the instructions for this stay were simply: "All aboard, Friday."

- Evolution, virtual reality, extra dimensions, cognitive development, particle physics, and southeastern U.S. archaeology.
- Optional pre-cruise tour of the Rose Center / Hayden Planetarium in New York City.
