The GNU Linux Headlock
- During a party on one of the Geek Cruises with Linus Torvalds (likely during a Linux Lunacy Cruise in the early 2000s), I walked up to Linus and playfully asked him how he reacts to Richard Stallman's (RMS) co-opting of the term "GNU/Linux" instead of just "Linux".
- Linus reacted by putting me in a friendly, humorous light headlock and saying, "if you ever say that around me again..." with a grin.
- This friendly headlock perfectly captured Linus's good-humored approachability during the Geek Cruises and his playful exasperation with the perpetual "GNU vs. Linux" naming controversy.
