PERSON
Chris Campbell
- Chris Campbell was an accomplished digital photographer and digital photography workshop instructor on multiple Geek Cruises and Insight Cruises voyages.
- He was a long-time close friend of Geek Cruises founder Neil Bauman, and actively managed the early Geek Cruises brochure website.
- Known for his keen eye and generosity in teaching, he frequently guided cruisers (including me) in mastering digital photography, depth of field, and exposure techniques during cruises.
- In addition to photography, he was a passionate chess enthusiast ("chess nut") who was absolutely thrilled to be on the Chess Moves cruises, sharing his love for the game alongside Neil and the visiting Grandmasters.
- Sadly passed away around 2016 (approximately 10 years prior to 2026).
Associated Memories
- Arctic Exposure Cruise (June 2003): Accompanied me during my shore excursions, such as wandering through Totem Park in Sitka, providing expert tips on photography and depth of field that significantly improved my shots. See Arctic Exposure Photo Cruise and Chris Campbell.
