Stonehenge courses
- Stonehenge Consulting Services, Inc. offered a range of expert-led Perl training courses, developed and taught by the authors of the corresponding O'Reilly books.
Core Courses
- The curriculum was structured around the popular "Llama" book series:
- Learning Perl (Llama course): An introductory course based on "Learning Perl". I wrote this book specifically as a training textbook, and it served my company well.
- Intermediate Perl (Alpaca course): A follow-up course based on "Intermediate Perl". I also wrote this book as a training textbook for my company.
- Mastering Perl (Vicuna course): An advanced course based on the "Mastering Perl" book.
Development and Philosophy
- The tight integration between the books and the courses was a key feature of Stonehenge's training. The books were written to serve as textbooks for the courses, creating a seamless learning experience. My direct involvement was most prominent in the "Learning Perl" and "Intermediate Perl" courses, as my participation in the "Programming Perl" book (the Camel book) diminished after the third edition.
