  • A favorite classroom teaching joke I used to tell during regular expressions training.

  • Classroom Schtick

    • While delivering my Stonehenge courses on regular expressions, I had a standard "schtick" reserved for the slides covering regex anchors like ^, $, and \b.
    • After finishing the page, I would turn to the classroom and ask: "So, are we done with anchors... or can I take anchors... away?"
    • I would pause with dramatic effect, waiting for the groan-and-chuckle response from the students. I truly miss teaching those classes.
