Calling Office from Police Parking Lot
- A short, ironic anecdote from the "random Irony department" regarding safe driving.
The Incident
- While driving to lunch, I realized I had forgotten to call my office to see if there was anything I needed to pick up.
- Knowing that it is unsafe (and illegal) to use a cell phone while driving, I decided to pull off into the very next parking lot to make the call.
- After parking and dialing, I looked around and realized that the lot I had pulled into belonged directly to the local police department.
- I was able to safely make my call surrounded by police cruisers.
