    • On July 13, 2017, I reached out to the "lazyweb" asking where to find the original sendmail.cf file that came with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
    • I explained that a well-meaning system administrator had tried to "fix" it, made it worse, and failed to save the original configuration.
    • I later updated the post to note that the issue was resolved by shifting to a different configuration strategy.
