- Prompted by the retirement of AOL dialup, I recalled eWorld, Apple's online service division from the mid-1990s.
- I still own an Apple Newton message pad that operated on eWorld.
- Crucially, it is not a standard Newton, but a clear-cased developer edition Newton (of which fewer than 400 were ever produced).
- I noted in 2025 that I need to retrieve it from my storage to evaluate its market value.
