Improv Comedy at the Clinic

  • Improv Comedy at the Clinic

  • A short anecdote showing my improv comedy skills during a medical appointment.
  • The Jest

    • I visited my doctor's clinic for a routine blood draw.
    • The nurse was having a difficult time locating a vein to draw from.
    • To lighten the mood, I commented in a deadpan tone: "Yeah, it'd be just crazy if I went to the Red Cross to give blood and they said 'No, you're already down two pints!' and refused."
    • The nurse took it completely seriously and asked: "You mean they can tell that somehow?"
    • I held character for a beat before bursting out laughing and explaining the joke. We both had a great laugh about it.
