Intel Job Recommendation Irony
- I received an automated job recommendation email from ZipRecruiter for a system assembly and configuration role at Intel in Oregon.
- The listing required the ability to build x86 server systems, install Linux, load drivers, and boot the operating system, adding: "Previous Intel experience a big plus."
- I found the recommendation highly ironic given my famous and highly publicized computer crime trial (1993–1995) stemming from my security auditing work at Intel's Beaverton facility. See State of Oregon v. Randal Schwartz.
