The Mavericks to Sierra Upgrade
- On February 20, 2017, I upgraded my Mac operating system from macOS Mavericks (10.9) to macOS Sierra (10.12) designed by Apple.
- The upgrade process itself was mostly painless, but I was frustrated by vendors charging for upgrades rather than maintaining legacy version compatibility.
- I noted that I had to spend a couple hundred dollars to restore the utilities and workflows that were previously working.
