Proper Database Pronunciations
- On March 28, 2022, I criticized a screencaster for mispronouncing PostgreSQL as "postgrey."
- I explained that this error likely stems from mispronouncing SQL as "sequel," leading to "Post-grey-Sequel" and eventually shortened to "Postgre."
- I clarified that it should be pronounced "post gres cue ell" (or shortened to "Postgres"), and noted that Monty Widenius himself states MySQL is pronounced "My Ess Cue Ell" and never "My Sequel."
