UCLA Medical Center Seizure and Head Trauma
UCLA Medical Center Seizure and Head Trauma
- A serious medical scare that landed me in emergency care in September 2014.
The Seizure
- While at work, I suffered a minor seizure related to a head trauma I had experienced a few days prior on Saturday night.
- I was immediately admitted to the Los Angeles UCLA Medical Center Emergency Room.
- Fortunately, I was surrounded by friends when the seizure occurred, rather than driving at high speeds on the freeway.
Recovery and Prognosis
- The medical team conducted consecutive CAT scans, which showed a positive 50% reduction in blood inside the skull.
- An MRI confirmed a good prognosis, and my physical responses returned to textbook levels.
- The experience was a scary reminder of how fragile we all can be, requiring me to be highly cautious during the months of recovery that followed.
