The Early Days
- My video editing journey began in 1988 when I was cutting U-matic analog videotapes using A/B roll edit controllers.
- By 1992, I transitioned to digital video editing, using early versions of Adobe Premiere on Macintosh systems.
Modern Tools
- Decades later, I was approached on LinkedIn by a video editor with four years of experience offering their services.
- I replied that I had been editing video since before they were born, but noted my appreciation for modern software like DaVinci Resolve.
- Looking back, having the power of a tool like DaVinci Resolve 20 years ago would have completely revolutionized my media production work.
