Abandoned at Bananarama in Roatan
- A high-stakes personal Travel anecdote about being abandoned at a beach club during a cruise excursion.
The Incident
- In May 2013, while on the Carnival Magic cruise ship for the annual Low Carb Cruise, we docked in Roatan, Honduras.
- I went on an excursion to the Bananarama Beach Club in West Bay.
- Through a series of mistakes and logistics failures by the excursion operators, I was accidentally left behind and abandoned at the beach club.
- Despite the operators' errors, I managed to scramble and find transportation back to the port, successfully making it back to the boat just before it set sail.
