The Backwards Shower
- In February 2014, I stayed at a hotel where the all-in-one shower handle was designed completely backwards from standard fixtures.
- Usually, cold is right next to "off" and cranked a little, and turning it all the way open goes to hot.
- In this hotel, the handle started out hot, and turning it all the way open went to cold.
- I turned it all the way open to let the water warm up and waited forever, getting increasingly frustrated. It wasn't until I turned it back down that I felt warm water and realized my mistake!
