Parents 64th Anniversary and Sixty Four at Karaoke
- A personal milestone connecting my parents' wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day to a classic Beatles song performance.
Singing "When I'm Sixty-Four"
- Valentine's Day would have been the 64th wedding anniversary of my dad, Ray Schwartz, and my mom, Retha Schwartz (who is still with us, though Dad passed in 2008).
- To celebrate, at both my Friday and Saturday Karaoke sessions, I sang "When I'm Sixty-Four" by The Beatles.
- Before singing, I announced their anniversary to the crowd and followed it up with a fun realization: "And in about nine months, I'll be celebrating my own 64th birthday! Go figure!"
- It got some great chuckles from the audience.
