Witnessing Parents Remarriage

The Remarriage

• My parents, Ray Schwartz and Retha Schwartz, decided to get remarried after having been separated for about two years.
• When they went to the courthouse to get their marriage license, they needed a witness to verify their age credentials.
• They turned to me to serve as their witness.
• I got to legally sign a document stating: "I Randal Schwartz have known Ray Schwartz and Retha Schwartz for a sufficient amount of time to believe they are of age to be married."
• It is a highly unusual and amusing chronological event to vouch for your parents' age so they can wed.
