- The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is an American four-seat, single-engine, high-wing aircraft produced by the Cessna Aircraft Company.
- It is the most produced aircraft in aviation history and the primary trainer aircraft used during Randal's flight training at Eagle Flight Center.
- Randal used the Cessna 172 for his Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating training, cross-country flights to Albany Municipal Airport, and scenic flights over Mount St. Helens and Portland, Oregon.
