Connection to Me & Family Stories
- Funding My First Computer (1977): Seeing my early passion and dedication for computing while I attended Colton High School, she generously funded and purchased my first microcomputer setup: a Sol-20 with a Pennywhistle 103 Modem. That setup enabled me to dial into Reed College's PDP-11, where I discovered Unix and C. See First Unix Experience in 1977.
- The Tacoma Narrows Family Flight (1990): In September 1990, she was a passenger alongside my mother Retha Schwartz and brother Russ Schwartz on my night IFR flight in a Cessna 172 to Tacoma Narrows Airport to celebrate Ron Schwartz's wedding reception (filling all four seats of the 172).
