Travel Restrictions to Canada and Australia
- A personal reflection on the long-term Travel impacts of my historical felony conviction, despite its official expungement.
The Travel Constraints
- In December 2025, I had to turn down an invitation to a Canadian conference because I cannot legally enter either Canada or Australia.
- Neither country recognizes the expungement of my conviction from the State of Oregon v. Randal Schwartz case.
- Fortunately, I was able to visit both countries in the past, so they still count towards the 68 countries I have visited in my lifetime.
